Rest In Peace, Allen

My best friend, Phyllis, lost her father to cancer on Thanksgiving Day.  I've known Allen through Phyllis for 30 years or so, and really enjoyed it when he went to the beach with us (especially when he gave Phyllis away to Skip on their wedding day), and when he came to Virginia.  He was a good man, a wonderful cook, keenly intelligent, free-spirited, and he loved his daughter very, very much.  Phyllis took excellent care of him during the last two weeks of his life, and I cannot believe how strong she is.  Phyllis, you know you're in our thoughts and prayers and that we love you deeply.
