I thought that after the holidays I might have a bit more free time, but that's not happening yet. I just got a family shoot up on my site, which I finished editing this past weekend, and I'm in the midst of working on our latest wedding editing. With 1800 photos or so for that, it's going to be a couple of weeks project.
I have several orders to make for earlier clients and a photobook to make with one of my favorite brides....I am counting my blessings for being so busy. And I'm learning how to use Aperture, the photo program I've purchased for my new MacBook Pro. This machine is amazing. It can almost keep up with me, which is good.
I did have to take a week and some days off after Christmas. I was just exhausted from all that. It was nice and felt good and I hope that maybe the middle of February through maybe March will be our slow season. Ed and I just were hired by Falmouth Institute in Fairfax to travel to Las Vegas in April with them to their TriSec convention and take care of their photography. I'm really excited about that job. We're staying in the newest and nicest resort, which looks out over the fountains of the Bellagio. Ed and I will take off from there when it's over and tour the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon. We've wanted to see that area for a while now. Our next trip will likely be a drive up the California coastal highway, and we're hoping to turn it into a book of photos that will sell. It should be fun and we're looking forward to both.
Ed and I are hoping to see the babies over the long weekend. We miss them like crazy. We hope all of you enjoy your week and stay warm and dry!
